8 years have passed since the Great East Japan Earthquake that occurred on March 11, 2011. More than 18,000 people died due to this disaster, and more than 50,000 people continue to evacuate life now. Japan and World Wide Game Developers hold “Fukushima GameJam” for reconstruction support from August 2011. Especially since several disasters occurred in 2018, we stopped holding FGJ, but IGDA Japan continues to support reconstruction.

2011年3月11日に発生した東日本大震災から8年が経ちました。
この震災では1万8千人以上の方が亡くなられ、今なお5万人以上の方が避難生活を続けています。

「福島GameJam」はゲーム開発者として支援できる方法の一つとして2011年8月から開催しているものです。
日本は自然災害が非常に多い国です。
特に2018年は複数の災害が重なった為、FGJ開催を断念しましたが、IGDA日本では今後も復興支援を継続してまいります。
